‘The Cross’ is an emblem of suffering, shame and curse and reflecting the bondage, torture, and death on it. The crucifixion was considered as the cruelest and the most abominable method of capital punishment.
But look at the cross of Jesus Christ’. And think why the HOLY ONE is going through such an agony!
As written by the Prophet Isaiah:
“But it was for our sin he was wounded, and for our evil doings he was crushed: he took the punishment by which we have peace, and by his wounds we are made well.”
“We all went wandering like sheep; going every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put on him the punishment of us all. Men were cruel to him, but he was gentle and quiet; as a lamb taken to its death, and as a sheep before those who take the wool makes no sound, so he said not a word...”
(Isaiah 53:5–7)
Look! The sinless Christ is standing at the place of the sinner. And as he who takes away the sin of the mankind.
“Who did no evil, and there was no deceit in his mouth: To sharp words he gave no sharp answer; when he was undergoing pain, no angry word came from his lips; but he put himself into the hands of the judge of righteousness: He took our sins on himself, giving his body to be nailed on the tree, so that we, being dead to sin, might have a new life in righteousness, and by his wounds we have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:22–24)
Dear friend is it nothing to you? Four things have to be observed here.
First, look at the cross. May be the Son of Man seems as a weak person there.
But God has changed that moment as the great source of the Spiritual power.
Secondly, Christ was rejected by men at the cross.
But God has turned it as a redemption point for the mankind.
Thirdly, the world did the evilness to Christ on the cross.
But God converted it as a cause for all the spiritual blessings.
Fourthly, at the cross men did the heinous crime to Christ.
But God set forth it as the propitiation by the blood of Christ, through faith, to reveal His saving grace and infinite love.
Realize the fact that you cannot be your savior. You need a Savior and come now to Christ for pardon of sins and a spiritual healing. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
The risen Christ is ‘able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him’. (Hebrews 7:25)
‘He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,’ (Hebrews 5:9)
Trust in this unchanging promise of God and the God’s power dwelled on the cross will make you free from all anxiety and fear. The Holy Spirit will guide and give you the victory over sin and its’ consequences.
Your trust in Christ will surely transform your inner feelings. You will know the incomparable greatness of His power as one who believes in Him. On the cross of Christ now you can find the power of liberty, peace and life eternal.
Believe in Christ Jesus now. The Bible says:
“For, Whosoever shall CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved”.
